In Irish mythology, The Morrígan is a powerful Goddess of war, fate and death

She is linked with battlefields and prophecy and is part of the ebb and flow of life…deciding who will fall and who will prevail

She is wife of The Dagda, and is known for her ability to shapeshift, often appearing as a crow or raven, hovering over the slain.

During the battles of the Táin Bó Cúailnge, The Morrígan sought to hinder Cú Chulainn, first by aiding his opponent…and then…in the guise of a wolf, she drove cattle at him in an attempt to defeat him.

But Cú Chulainn hurled a stone that wounded the Goddess taking her eye…but she rose again…as war never dies
