Kilkenny man held by US authorities was reported to have owned ‘switch‑blade knife and brass knuckles’

The ex‑wife of Irishman Séamus Cull­eton, who is being held in a US detention camp, was granted a restraining order against him after their marriage broke down.

Mr Culleton, from Glenmore, Co Kil­kenny, entered America on a tourist visa in 2009, but remained there past the permitted 90 days. He had been living in Boston and started his own plastering business in the Wakefield area.
