
TWO people have been arrested as part of a probe into an alleged assault in the capital.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene at Cope Street in Dublin‘s Temple Bar on Wednesday at 12.30am.
A man was rushed to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, are being held at Garda Stations in Dublin.
Gardaí are attempting to identify the injured man and have released an image of a tattoo on his right arm.
A spokesperson said: “Gardaí continue to investigate an incident of alleged assault that occurred at Cope Street, Dublin 2, on Wednesday 18th February 2026, at approximately 12:30am.
“A male (age unknown) is being treated at Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“Gardaí arrested two men in connection with this investigation this evening, Friday 20th February 2026.
