Epstein survivor calls for ‘thorough investigation’ of claims woman was trafficked into Ireland

A WOMAN WHO was sexually assaulted by paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein has said a “thorough investigation” should be carried out into claims a woman was trafficked to Ireland for “politicians and notable men”.

Speaking in a pre-recorded interview on tonight’s Late Late Show on RTÉ, Lisa Phillips will say that she is in Ireland to “push” leaders to “do the right thing, to investigate her claims and anyone else who was in the files”.

The claim was contained in a document released as part of the so-called Epstein Files.

The document in question – in which identifying information is redacted, including the woman’s name – appears to be an email from a Threat Intake Examiner (TIE) at the FBI’s National Threat Operations Centre, to a special agent on 22 October 2024.

In the email, the TIE official said that they had received an email from a woman “reporting an allegation of being a victim of human trafficking involving Jeffrey Epstein”.

The official summarises the email from the woman, which claims that when she was five, she was “taken from an apartment she was living in and cut in the throat”.

The woman then said she was “taken again” when she was 12-13 years old.

She claimed she was taken to Paris and raped by three men. The woman then said she was moved to Ireland. The email summarising the woman’s claims states:

“The men were a part of an organisation that would take naked photos of young girls and used photo where she flew to Ireland for politicians and notable men.

“They would have sex with the young woman and she was taken from Ireland and brought to Jeffrey Epstein Island when she was 13 years old.”

In her pre-recorded interview, Phillips, a podcast host and former model, will note that the “young girl contacted the FBI”.

“I’m also here to meet with some power leaders,” said Phillips, “and do a little push to do the right thing, to investigate her claims and anyone else who was in the files.

“There needs to be a thorough investigation.”

RTÉ contacted the Department of the Taoiseach to enquire if there were any plans to have an independent inquiry into the alleged victim who reported being trafficked through Ireland.

In response, the Department of the Taoiseach said: “Our thoughts go out to anyone who suffered at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein or any of his associates.

“We would urge anyone with any information about allegations contained in the Epstein files to contact the police.”

Meanwhile, Phillips will tell the Late Late Show that the issue is not confined to the US.

“It’s a global human trafficking ring,” said Phillips.

“And there are many powerful people – government officials, financial institutions, universities, modelling industry, entertainment industry -there are so many people that are involved, which is why it’s a big mess.”
