Dublin firm tops Tax Defaulters List with €2.2m bill

A Dublin-based manufacturer and installer of air conditioning systems has topped the latest Tax Defaulters List, with a total bill of more than €2.2 million.

Air Force H&V Ltd, with an address at Broomhill Close in Tallaght, was found to have under declared PAYE, PRSI, USC and VAT to the tune of €1,340,032.

It followed an audit by Revenue.

When interest of €333,472 and penalties of €576,101 were added, the total amount the company owed the taxman rose to €2,249,605, of which €1,828,688 remains unpaid.

The business went into liquidation last year.

The second largest figure in the quarterly list for the period covering October to December of last year was for a settlement of more than €1.1 million by a lighting design consultants firm in Dublin.

Pro-Light Design and Technology Limited of Westerton Lodge, Ballinteer Road in Dublin 16 was fined for the under-declaration of €698,279 in corporation tax and VAT.

When interest and penalties were added, the total sum owed increased to €1,125,517, of which €1,103,007 has yet to be paid.

The third highest settlement on the latest list was made by Bartle Masterson, with an address in Millbrook in Oldcastle in Co Meath.

Following a Revenue audit, the service station operator, who trades as Millbrook Motors, was found to have not declared income tax to the tune of €293,196.

When interest and penalties were added, the settlement owed increased to €538,964.

A former undertaker, a crypto-currency investor and an electric scooter retailer were among the other tax defaulters to have made settlements in the final quarter of 2025.

Former undertaker Anthony McMahon from Parkroe in Adrnacrusha in Co Clare under-declared €122,271 in income tax.

After interest and penalties were added, he was handed down a bill for €272,594, of which €269,594 remains outstanding.

Crypto-currency investor Desmond O’Keeffe, with an address at Knocklyne Valley in Killorglin in Co Kerry was found to have under-declared €98,442 in Capital Gains Tax.

After interest and penalties were added, he owed the taxman €155,030.

E-scooter seller Runo Dortie, who is listed as having an address in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, made a settlement for just under €130,000.

The electric scooter retailer, who trades as Eirescooters Ireland, was found by Revenue to have under-declared income tax and not to have declared Capital Gains Tax and VAT.
