The woman was passed into the care of Wixon in 1996, and for more than two decades, Wixon forced her to clean her home, kept her captive and made her live off scraps.
The prosecution also said Wixon claimed benefits on the woman’s behalf, amounting to over £100,000.
Wixon has not expressed remorse over what happened and will serve two-thirds of the sentence behind bars.
