SHOCKING footage shows the moment a prized poodle sets himself on fire from a nearby candle just days before Crufts.
The unsuspecting pooch brushes past a lit candle and his fluffy mane suddenly erupts into flames to his owner’s horror.

Phillip the poodle set himself on fire on the coffee table

Phillip, the 14-month-old, was set to compete in the Toy Poodle Good Citizen category at Crufts just three days later.
Even with his newly charred fur, Phillip managed to scoop second place in his category.
The dramatic moment was caught on camera by his stunned owners Nakita and Kenneth O’Hare Wilson at their home in Ayrshire, Scotland.
In the clip, Phillip can be seen sniffing around the coffee table — apparently hunting for scraps — while Kenneth sits on the sofa watching TV.
Despite the terrifying scare, the pampered pooch went on to compete and place second at the world-famous dog show.
Nakita, who has ten other dogs besides Phillip, said the moment was frightening to watch back.
She said: “It was scary looking back on it now. I’m just glad Phillip wasn’t hurt.
“Kenneth completely panicked and by the time I came in, it was hard to tell what happened.
Thankfully the playful poodle “only suffered a few singed hairs” and was quickly taken back to the groomers before the show.
Nakita added: “They did such a good job you couldn’t really tell anything had happened.”
The candle has been safely moved off the coffee table, according to the concerned owners.
