Yemen was a British Colony. Years of wars and Houthis are driving force. Gaza created the storm so they decided to attack transporting ships entering the Red sea. There is a peppering effect permeating the Middle East. In Gaza, it is Hamas, in Lebanon, it is Hezbollah but now another tactic is called into effect and it affects trade (it may take an extra 10-14 days) to get shipped container loads to their detination. This time we are talking about Houthis in Yemen, one of the most impoverished countries in the world.

Hamas, Hezbollaz, now Houthis (Iran pulls their strings is the message we are told) but listen to this young woman. “250,000 are dead in Gaza right now….How dare we have a discussion about TRADE right now? Remember Yemen was the country where the oil tanker was expected to leak … thankfully they managed to save the oil and the enviornment before the Houthis acted!!!!

Asylum seekers endure sub-zero temperatures on Dublin streets without tents or sleeping bags. Source: The Journal. Comment: Wind storms rage, freezing cold spells abound, the rain is in torrents. Ireland, we know our homeless; if you live in the City you know the familiar faces and you can help a little and you know they are aware of places like McVerry Trust, Alice Leahy, Sr. Stan but to arrive in Ireland at this time, as an asylum seeker battered by wars of attrition, starvation, then the interrogation and to find yourself in a tent on a cold street in Dublin is a blight too far especially in a country that has so many derelict properties.
