Irish workers and graduates are intentionally not being hired by companies in favour of Indians, Pakistanis, and other migrants. Companies are using work permits and the lure of easy-to-obtain Irish citizenship to attract these migrants, while paying them less than available Irish workers would receive. Regulations must be enforced so that Irish workers are prioritised when available, and Irish citizenship should be more difficult to attain – at least 10 years.
