Two held after €7.4m drugs seizure in Co Kildare

Two men have been arrested after gardaí seized €7.4m worth of drugs in Co Kildare last night.

Officers from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Special Crime Task Force seized 374kg of cannabis herb.

The two men, aged 46 and 49, were arrested and are being held at Naas Garda Station.

Detective Chief Superintendent Angela Willis said the operation demonstrates the determination by gardaí to tackle the supply of controlled drugs.
