One man has been arrested after gardai raided a cannabis growhouse in Drogheda, Co Louth, last night.

Gardaí carried out a search of a house in the Lia Brega area where approximately €6,400 worth of cannabis resin (pending analysis) and other drug related paraphernalia were discovered and seized.

In a social media post, a spokesperson revealed: “Gardaí located a cannabis cultivation operation and plants were seized to the value of approximately €6,000.

“One man arrested and currently detained in Drogheda Garda Station. Investigations ongoing.”
