As the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier returned to the spotlight this year following the release of two documentaries, attention has once again been focused on the case’s self-confessed former prime suspect.

The interview comes after Mr Bailey called on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show to offer him a spot on the show after Sophie’s son was confirmed in the billing.

Mr Baudey-Vignaud made a direct appeal to people across Ireland to come forward with any information about his mum’s death.
Describing his feelings being in Ireland, Sophie’s son said it was ‘strange’ before hauntingly declaring ‘my mother’s blood has entered your soil’.

‘We must end this story,’ Mr Baudey-Vignaud said as he pleaded with those who know something about his mother’s murder to come forward.
In Mr Bailey’s interview with Virgin Media, he describes the recent appeal for information from Sophie’s son ‘deeply sad’ and that he believes it is directed at him.
