The public wants answers from Sinn Féin on gangland crime and from Mary Lou McDonald on how she funded her house purchase and renovation — but she would have to be asked those questions first.

On The Late Late Show on Friday, the Sinn Féin president dodged a half-hearted attempt by host Ryan Tubridy to question her on evidence of disturbing connections between gangland violence and provisional republicanism.
