Elderly Enniscrone residents nowhere to go as eviction date draws closer

Six households are being told they must move out by June 5th.
The residents, some of who are in their 80s and with major health issues, are living in a wider estate for independent living with a nursing home located in the centre of it.

The homes are part of an estate named Sonas Retirement Village and were previously owned by Sonas but rented out privately.

However, there were changes to the ownership of both the nursing home and the surrounding houses and now some have been told they must leave in four months’ time.

Couple Linda and Billy made the decision to live there in good faith and say they should not have to endure such stress at this stage in their lives:
