A young woman, Dara Quigley, was having a mental health episode and removed her clothes. The Guards took footage and shared it in a WhatsApp group. When Dara found out she tragically took her own life. The head cop Drew Harris, years later, has issued an apology. While Dara’s mother has welcomed the apology and the cop in question resigned we still have to ask why there is no independent investigations of cases like this? So many cases of police criminality and corruption and GSOC is just cops investigating cops. We need an independent inquiry into all cases like that of Terence Wheelock or Dara’s shaming and death. These cops should be investigated and face jail not get away with an apology. Its not good enough.
