WASTE: a luxury we can no longer afford. We have the Pandemic but we also have the environmentalists shouting “Ecocide”. We have time to reflect in leisure these days so let’s think about what we are doing to our planet. Waste cannot be good especially food and clothes. Waste is in a way a form of theft from others who are in need. There are people starving and it is time to really assess the environmental cost of cheap fashion which is part of the fossil fuel chain and its impact on our world. There is a country that is host to all our waste clothes – a dump. Shame on us.

Former RTÉ Sport producer Kieran Creaven jailed for 10 years: Too mild a headline for a person who commits such heinous crimes. Several years a paedophile hunter located Creaven who went to Court in the UK but sadly this perverted man did not learn anything; he reoffended. “A former RTÉ Sport producer who filmed himself sexually abusing a young child in the Philippines seven years ago while other children were in the room has been jailed for ten years.” This the worst of all crimes and thankfully he has been caught and sentenced to 10 years in prison. I hope he is not one of the abusers who refuses psychological based treatment while incarcerated.
