The young man in the photo was hanged in 1957 for participating in the Cyprus liberation struggle. His name was Evagoras Pallikaridis.
The lady in the green refused to pardon a 17yr old fighter and led him to the gallows. She died just today, at the age of 96, as the queen of M. Great Britain.
Let the soil that will cover her be heavy. Heavy as hell
